Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing any membership, class package, or service from Alliance Dubai Jiu-Jitsu Academy. By registering for a membership, making a payment, or using our facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions

• “Academy” refers to Alliance Dubai Jiu-Jitsu Academy, operated at Green Community Village, Dubai Investments Park, Dubai, UAE.

• “Member” refers to any individual who has registered for a membership, class, or service offered by the Academy.

• “Membership” refers to any recurring or fixed-term subscription plan purchased by the Member for access to classes and facilities.

• “Services” refers to all classes, programs, training sessions, private sessions, trial sessions, and related offerings provided by the Academy.

2. Eligibility and Registration

2.1 Members must be at least 18 years of age to register independently. Members under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the registration and accept these Terms on their behalf.

2.2 By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. You agree to update your details promptly if they change.

2.3 The Academy reserves the right to refuse registration or revoke membership at its sole discretion.

3. Membership Plans and Pricing

3.1 The Academy offers various membership plans including but not limited to Beginner, Advanced, and Private class packages, with durations of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months.

3.2 Membership pricing is as published on the Academy’s website at the time of purchase. The Academy reserves the right to modify pricing at any time; however, any price change will not affect active memberships already paid for.

3.3 Membership plans are personal and non-transferable unless expressly authorized by the Academy in writing.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 All payments are processed in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED).

4.2 Payment is required in full at the time of registration unless a recurring billing arrangement has been agreed upon.

4.3 For recurring memberships, the Member authorizes the Academy to charge the designated payment method on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually, depending on the plan selected) until the membership is cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

4.4 The Member is responsible for ensuring that their payment method is valid and that sufficient funds are available. If a recurring payment fails, the Academy will notify the Member and may suspend access until the outstanding balance is settled.

4.5 All prices are inclusive of applicable VAT as required under UAE law.

5. Recurring Billing and Auto-Renewal

5.1 By selecting a recurring membership plan, the Member expressly consents to automatic billing at the start of each billing cycle.

5.2 The Member will receive a confirmation of each charge via email or the payment method on file.

5.3 Memberships will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless the Member cancels at least seven (7) calendar days before the next billing date.

5.4 To cancel auto-renewal, the Member must contact the Academy via email, WhatsApp, or in person. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or message) for record-keeping purposes.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 Members may cancel their recurring membership at any time by providing written notice at least seven (7) calendar days before the next billing date.

6.2 If cancellation is received fewer than seven (7) days before the next billing date, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the following billing cycle, and the Member will be charged for the upcoming period.

6.3 No partial-month or partial-period refunds will be issued for cancellations made during an active billing cycle.

6.4 Fixed-term memberships (e.g., 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month plans paid upfront) are non-cancellable and non-refundable once the membership period has commenced, except as provided in the Refund and Returns Policy.

7. Trial Sessions

7.1 The Academy offers complimentary trial sessions for beginner-level students only.

7.2 Trial sessions do not constitute a membership and do not create any obligation on the part of the Member to purchase a plan.

7.3 A Gi (uniform) is required for trial sessions. Gi rental is available at the Academy for AED 50.

8. Academy Rules and Code of Conduct

8.1 Members must comply with all Academy rules, including hygiene requirements, dress code, and behavioural standards on the premises.

8.2 The Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Member’s membership without refund in the event of serious misconduct, violent behaviour, harassment, or any activity that endangers the safety of other Members or staff.

8.3 Members must follow the instructions of coaches and staff at all times during training sessions.

9. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

9.1 Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts training involve inherent physical risks, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, muscle injuries, and other physical harm. By participating in classes, the Member acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all such risks.

9.2 The Member releases the Academy, its coaches, staff, and affiliates from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in classes or use of the Academy’s facilities, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9.3 Members are strongly advised to consult a medical professional before commencing training and to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions to the Academy.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 All content on the Academy’s website, social media, and marketing materials—including logos, images, videos, text, and training methodologies—are the intellectual property of Alliance Dubai Jiu-Jitsu Academy and/or the Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Association.

10.2 Members may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any Academy content without prior written permission.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

11.1 The Academy collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable UAE data protection laws.

11.2 Personal information provided during registration will be used for the purposes of membership management, communication, billing, and improving our Services.

11.3 The Academy will not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as necessary for payment processing, legal compliance, or with your express consent.

12. Amendments

12.1 The Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Academy’s website.

12.2 Continued use of Services following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12.3 For material changes that affect recurring billing, the Academy will provide at least fourteen (14) days’ advance notice via email or other registered communication channel.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.

13.2 Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the competent courts of Dubai.
